OK.
I get it.
You
  • are convinced that Denver Snuffer is the hottest spiritual property since Shirley MacLaine, or
  • believe the church has been on the wrong path since the manifesto, or
  • are ABSOLUTELY certain God has called YOU to be the one mighty and strong, or
  • can prove from the Bible that Mormonism is just a mind controlling cult, or
  • from your superior vantage point of education and logic can see that any belief in God is just so much superstitious nonsense.
Luckily, I'm blogging from a nation where you are free to believe any of these things,
And I do understand your desire to share what you feel with others
(no one understands missionary zeal like a Mormon does),
so I invite you to GO START A BLOG OF YOUR OWN.

This, however, happens to be MY blog and I should make it absolutely clear that my study and thought are guided by a few bedrock convictions -
  • God exists.
  • Jesus Christ is my Redeemer.
  • Joseph Smith was a prophet, and restored the fullness of the Savior's gospel to the earth.
  • The authority to act in the name of Jesus Christ rests with his church, the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.
  • That church is led by living, modern day prophets and apostles, through whom the Lord speaks and guides his church.
I certainly wouldn't be upset if this blog gives rise to some stimulating conversation.  Differences of opinion and challenging questions can certainly be a part of a good talk.  But if the comments here begin to stray too far away from the intent for which I started this blog, it would constitute a kind of high jacking of my pages.  We've all been in conversations which have been high jacked.  It's a rude and inconsiderate and selfish and thoughtless thing to do.  I reserve the right to delete anything I consider to be a high jacking of my blog space for someone else's purposes.

Also, comments that do not show civility or respect to other posters or commenters will be deleted, even if I happen to agree with the opinion expressed.  It's my house, so to speak, and if you want to call people names and hurl abuse, go somewhere else to do it.
